Why Lir?

Lir or Ler (meaning "Sea" in Old Irish) is a sea god in Irish mythology. His name suggests that he is a personification of the sea, rather than a distinct deity.
At times, we may feel oceans apart from one another. We seek to build connection, consensus, and genuine relationships, but we may not always have the clarity needed to chart our course. As Lir is a deity who serves as guardian of the sea – its mists, waves, and gateways between worlds – we too are here to serve as your humble guide in wading through these uncharted waters.
